Public Liability Insurance
Public Liability insurance is a licence condition to occupy a beach box on all foreshores. The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) (formally DELWP) Guidelines for the management of existing bathing boxes and boatsheds on marine and coastal Crown land – March 2022 – Clause 3.2.2 requires “All licensees must take out public liability insurance for their bathing box or boatshed”.
By being a member of the Mornington Peninsula Beach Box Association you are automatically covered by the Association’s group public liability insurance policy. To obtain such insurance on an individual basis can be both difficult and expensive. Please contact the Association for details.
