Advocacy
Important matters to know for beach box licensees regarding issues which may affect your ownership and enjoyment...

The Association has a role in representing beach box licensees on important issues which affect their ownership and enjoyment of their haven on the foreshore.

Some of these issues are significant environmental and social issues. Whilst the Association alone cannot resolve these, we do play a part in advocating for our members where these issues have an impact and try to be an active part of finding solutions.

We are a member of the Port Phillip Beach Box Association which brings all associations from around Port Phillip together to consider group actions on issues and share information.

Some of these issues include:

  • policies about beach boxes including fees and licence conditions
  • waste service charge
  • access to beach boxes
  • graffiti and other anti-social behaviour
  • drainage
  • management of vegetation
  • maintenance of coastal infrastructure

We cannot however represent individual beach box owners on issues. We will endeavour though to share our ideas and experiences to help you through your issue.

If you would like to raise a concern, please email us.
